Upper Mustang Motorbike Tour is completely an adventure tour in Nepal. Explore the Kathmandu Valley, Pokhara and Upper Mustang of Nepal by motorbike. Upper Mustang Motorbike tour leads you to the sacred kingdom called Lo-Manthang where still Tibetan culture exists till now. This tour will be different than others. We are going to ride to the Valley of Tibetan culture surrounded by the mountains, cliffs, and deserted landscapes.
We start Upper Mustang Motorbike Tour from Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing. During the Kathmandu Valley sightseeing, we will cover most of the historical and religious places of Nepal such as Swoyambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, and Boudhanath. After this trip, we will ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara- a touristic city after Kathmandu. Pokhara is also likely for all the travelers around the world because this places content lots of tourist attractions spots like Phewa Lake, Peace Pagoda, Sarangkot Sunrise Viewpoint, Davis Fall, Pokhara Museum, Tibetan refugee camp, and caves. We can walk around Phewa Lake in the evening.
The next day we will ride around 2 hours from Pokhara to Beni. After this place, we are going to ride on offroad. Ride through the world deepest George Kali Gandaki and stop overnight at Kalopani. After our breakfast, we continue our ride to Muktinath- a religious place for both Hindus and Buddhists. Spend some time over there in a spiritual sphere. We will return to Kagbeni where we are going to spend our overnight. Kagbeni is the gateway to Upper Mustang and also the trade market of Dolpo, Manang, and Mustang. This road is also the salt trade road in the previous time that connects with Nepal and Tibet.
The next morning, we continue our adventure journey to a beautiful Ghami Village. A continuous ride and lots of funs in the Tibetan plateau passing through the bank of Kali Gandaki and Nya La Pass we will reach the Ghami Village. Overnight we stay over here. The next day will be our final destination Upper Mustang- a sacred valley Lo-Manthang. Explore Chhosar Cave and reach up to the borderline of Nepal and China-Tibet.

In Kathmandu and Pokhara, you are going to stay at the 3-star category hotel (Value). One the way to Upper Mustang from Pokhara and till back to Pokhara, you will spend your night in a tea house. The tea house is a lodge or a guest house. The tea house is an old name for a lodge because trekkers and climbers gave this name 40 years ago. After all, it used to sell only tea then. Now they also sell meals as well as provide bedrooms for the trekkers and climbers. The old name tea house is still used by the trekking agencies in Nepal. Hence, the name tea house trek. Tea house differs from village to village where you are going to spend your night. Some have attached bathrooms as well as running a hot water facility, while others have only basic facilities, that is, you have to share a toilet and a bathroom with others. This is so because they are located in a high altitude and the remotest area. Some provide dormitory-style accommodation, but they also provide you a bed, a pillow, a blanket, and a bedsheet still, you must have your sleeping bag.
In your trip cost, we have also included the transportation fare, so that you do not have to pay from your pocket when you are in Nepal. One of our company representatives will explain to you about your trip and share the trip plan with you. Travel Insurance is a must because you are riding and doing a trek near the mountains at an altitude of more than 3000 meters. You must ensure in your country before coming to Nepal, before starting your trip. Please bring with you a copy of insurance, and your insurance policy must cover the medical expenses, helicopter evacuation from the altitude of 5000 m to 6000 m, and other things related to your health. Please give a copy to our company. It will send the information to the insurance company if you use the mountain rescue operation, mentioned above.
Before coming to Nepal, your passport must have the validity of 6 months, and you can put the Tourist Visa ‘On Arrival’ on your passport at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal. The sightseeing that you are going to do, today, comprises of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and they can be categorized as Stupas, Temples, and Palaces. The sightseeing can be personalized, according to your interest, and all the effective route planning for the sightseeing will be done by the city guide of TMG.
Kathmandu Durbar Square
From the hotel where you are staying, nothing is near the Kathmandu Durbar Square. It was a ceremonial site; it was a palace where the would-be kings used to be coronated in the past, now it is a palace cum museum, and to be there is to experience how the royals spend their life. Stand among the monuments, temples, and statues that back to the 17th and 18th centuries.
Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple)
Be well prepared in advance because this stupa is located at quite an altitude and is more than 2,000 years old. This is the most important of all the Buddhist Stupas in Nepal and has a fascinating face of Lord Buddha on every side, and its base has the stonework of 5 Dhyani Buddhas – Vairocana, Ratnasambhava, Amitabha, Amoghasiddhi, and Aksobhya, and each of these represents the wisdom of Lord Buddha. People flock to this stupa to see the birds-eye view of Kathmandu.
Pashupatinath
Pashupatinath is as old as the hills, but the Hindu Committees of Nepal, looks after it, such as renovation and maintenance, and there are new adds on in and around the temple. Pashupatinath is the most important temple of Lord Shiva and located not far away from the heart of Kathmandu. Only Hindus are permitted to enter from the main gate to Pashupatinath Temple. As a visitor, you will enjoy the rich combination of architecture from a distance. If you are lucky, then you might see the Hindu Cremation taking place.
Bouddhanath
Bouddhanath is also a stupa. It is one of the holiest pilgrimages of the Buddhists. It has a white doom just like Swayambhunath, whatever the myth is, it contains the bones of Kasyapa Buddha (Buddha incarnation), while others say it contains the bone of Lord Buddha. Around the base of the stupa are 108 small images of the Dhyani Buddha Amitabha. Go anytime to enjoy these images.
After having our breakfast, we will kick off the second famous touristic destination-Pokhara. We will start it at your hotel. On the way, we will pass many small towns, villages, terrace farming and the rivers Trishuli, Marshyangdi and so on. In the evening time, we can walk around Phewa Lake and be refreshed. Today we are going to stay overnight in Pokhara, a beautiful city to make remarkable memories in your lifetime.
Today is our day heading off to the Upper Mustang from Pokhara. Riding around 2 hours on the black paved road approx. 104 km to Beni. After Beni, we will follow the bank of Kali Gandaki. On the way, we will meet Tatopani where we will stay overnight in our return trip and explore the hot spring and the surroundings over here. After this location, we will head to Kalopani, our stop point to today. From Kalopani you can enjoy the views of Mount Dhaulagiri and Tukuche Peak.
After our breakfast, we will head off to the pilgrimage site of Nepal- Muktinath where you can see 108 taps. On the way, you will see the majestic views of Himalayan ranges like Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and Tukuche Peak. Not only this you will pass through the local markets, time to spend and learn about the lifestyles of local peoples. Sametime, we will pass the world’s deepest gorge- Kaligandaki. After all, we are going to spend our overnight at a beautiful place called Kagbeni. Its a trade point of Dolpo, Manang and Upper Mustang. In the evening time, you can walk around the localities over there. Explore local people and the food.
In the morning after showing our permit at Kagbeni, we will head to Upper Mustang. Today most of the road we follow the bank of Gali Gandaki river. Pass the elevation of 3800m Nya La Pass, local settlement, monasteries and time to see the Tibetan culture. Finally, we reach a beautiful village called Ghami.
Finally, today is the ultimate day of our trip to reach Lo-Manthang, its a headquarter of Upper Mustang. On the way to beautiful mountains like Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri will greet us. Ride around the Lo-Manthang local markets, explore local culture and traditions followed by the Tibetan Buddhists.
After having our breakfast we will visit some of the monasteries and after having our lunch we will ride to Choser cave and surrounding villages. Lo-Manthang is rich in Tibetan culture, visit Buddhist school and the palace of Lo-Manthang.
After our breakfast, today we will return back to Chhuksang Village. Chhuksang village is also very rich in Tibetan Culture. We will visit some of the monasteries, local markets, Kali Gandaki river, and the local settlements.
Today retrace to Tatopani via Kageni Marpha, Jomsom. We will continue our ride through the bank of Kali Gandaki. Cross through the cliffs, Plateau, local settlements, farming fields we will reach to Tatopani. Overnight we will stay over here.
