Kathmandu Durbar Square
From the hotel where you are staying, nothing is near the Kathmandu Durbar Square. It was a ceremonial site; it was a palace where the would-be kings used to be coronated in the past, now it is a palace cum museum, and to be there is to experience how the royals spend their life. Stand among the monuments, temples, and statues that back to the 17th and 18th century.
Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple)
Be well prepared in advance because this stupa is located at quite an altitude and is more than 2,000 years old. This is the most important of all the Buddhist Stupas in Nepal and has a fascinating face of Lord Buddha on every side, and its base has the stonework of 5 Dhyani Buddhas – Vairocana, Ratnasambhava, Amitabha, Amoghasiddhi, and Aksobhya, and each of these represents the wisdom of Lord Buddha. People flock to this stupa to see the birds-eye view of Kathmandu.
Pashupatinath is as old as the hills, but the Hindu Committees of Nepal, looks after it, such as renovation and maintenance, and there are new adds on in and around the temple. Pashupatinath is the most important temple of Lord Shiva and located not far away from the heart of Kathmandu. Only Hindus are permitted to enter from the main gate to Pashupatinath Temple. As a visitor, you will enjoy the rich combination of architecture from a distance. If you are lucky, then you might see the Hindu Cremation taking place.
Bouddhanath is also a stupa. It is one of the holiest pilgrimages of the Buddhists. It has a white doom just like Swayambhunath, whatever the myth is, it contains the bones of Kasyapa Buddha (Buddha incarnation), while others say it contains the bone of Lord Buddha. Around the base of the stupa are 108 small images of the Dhyani Buddha Amitabha. Go anytime to enjoy these images.
With the sound of the wake-up call, you go for breakfast and then head to Pokhara by bus with a guide. The drive is scenic because you will be most of the time in some of the remotest regions of Nepal like the rivers, valleys, hills, and villages where modern facilities are absent, but each of these can be beautiful for a traveler who lives in the most developed country in the world.
Sarangkot Sarangkot is a viewpoint, one of the best viewpoints to see the Himalayas that every traveler wishes for when they are in Nepal, and the mountains that you see are the Annapurna Ranges, Dhaulagiri, and Fishtail that will win your heart, as well as they, touch your heart with their beauties. Similarly, the view of the Pokhara Valley and Phewa Lake is no less and an equivalent to the most beautiful thing of the earth that will make you photograph. Bindhabasini Temple Centrally located in a crowded bazaar, this temple portrays Shakti; Shakti means power, the power of the goddess Durga, and the temple also has a park where you see people enjoying their days in their way; it is also the spot for relaxing and holding a picnic event. Davis Fall Many say that Davis Fall is a small fall, yes it is, but nobody knows how deep this fall is, a man named Davis went to measure the depth of this fall, but never came back; hence this fall was named as Davis since then. He was not from Nepal and came to Nepal as a traveler, and Davis Fall is a pothole, and it has a source in Phewa Lake. Gupteshwor Cave This cave is 3 km in length and important to the Hindus because it has Shiva Lingam; Shiva is the most powerful god of the Hindus; he is both destroyer and creator and kind-hearted. In some parts of the cave, you walk, and in some parts, you crawl and might be adventurous to you. Phewa Lake and Barahi Temple Phewa Lake is the second largest lake in Nepal and has an island that has Barahi Temple, one of the important temples of the Hindus that has the statue of the goddess Durga, while in the lake, you can see the beautiful reflection of the mountains such as Fishtail and Annapurna as well as see the lush forest that is as green as leaf. Seti River Gorge The Seti River has a gorge that is a natural wonder, and you will see the strong current of this river from the bridge that has a name K.I. Singh. The current is white water and looks amazing which will make you look continuously. Tibetan Refugee Camp This camp is more than a refugee camp because it is more famous for woolen carpets and handicraft items than what its name suggests, so don’t you think it is worth visiting for buying these things when you are on a trip.
Lumbini is the birthplace of Lord Buddha and a world heritage site and has a sacred garden where the Lord Buddha was born and also has the Ashoka Pillar which has the inscription that says the Lord Buddha was born in Lumbini. Besides, Lumbini has temples, stupas, and monasteries that have designs, framed by the Buddhist countries, making it more attractive than anything else.
You will visit the remains of many ancient stupas and monasteries as well as excavations, including the stone image of Maya Devi giving birth to Lord Buddha and the Maya Devi Temple. Later transfer from Lumbini to Chitwan; approximately 155 Km / 4 hrs drive. Upon arrival at Chitwan, transfer to Hotel by Jeep. On reaching a resort, you would be briefed by our Guest Relation Officer. After lunch, you would go for a village tour.
A wake-up call is followed by tea or coffee then we proceed for canoeing and jeep safari. In a traditional dug-out canoe, in the Rapti River, we paddle to view aquatic birds and animals that are basking on the river bank, then through jeep safari, we will cover a distance of 10 km to see rare species that are only seen in some parts of Nepal and India.
From the haphazard city, as well as from nature’s dramatic set, you fly out from Nepal. The proceedings of your flight begin by picking you up from the hotel.
