To those who have heard the Mardi Himal Trek for the first time, they do not like to compare it with the Annapurna Circuit Trek because they know this is the best trek for the beginner, the medium, and the veteran, especially when they have a little time. Just like every big and every small trek has its beauty, Mardi Himal Trek has its own. It has the most beautiful landscapes that the trekkers most sought in their life. Whether it is the Annapurna Circuit Trek or the Mardi Himal Trek, both take place in the Annapurna Region, the second famous trekking region of Nepal, and one of the best in the world, according to the listing done by the National Geographic Magazine.
Mardi Himal Trek fulfills the wishes of the trekkers who want to walk on ridges and at an altitude of 4250m. Mardi Himal Trek is not as old as hill because it opened its door only in 2012 intending to hit bullseyes as well as with its satisfying natural beauties and shows the stunning view of Fishtail Mountain, one of the major highlights of the Annapurna Region where the trekkers also have options to do the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, the Annapurna Circuit Trek, and the Poon Hill Trek. But what makes the Mardi Himal Trek different is it is like a homestay trek to a certain extent.
In Kathmandu and Pokhara, you are going to stay at the 3-star category hotel (Value). During trekking, you will spend your night in a tea house. The tea house is a lodge or a guest house. The tea house is an old name for a lodge because trekkers and climbers gave this name 40 years ago. After all, it used to sell only tea then. Now they also sell meals as well as provide bedrooms for the trekkers and climbers. The old name tea house is still used by the trekking agencies in Nepal. Hence, the name tea house trek. Tea house differs from village to village where you are going to spend your night. Some have attached bathrooms as well as running a hot water facility, while others have only basic facilities, that is, you have to share a toilet and a bathroom with others. This is so because they are located at a high altitude and the remotest area. Some provide dormitory-style accommodation, but they also provide you a bed, a pillow, a blanket, and a bedsheet still, you must have your sleeping bag.
In your trip cost, we have also included the transportation fare, so that you do not have to pay from your pocket when you are in Nepal. The fare includes pick up from the airport as well as drop off at the airport by private vehicle. As well as other transportation facilities like driving from Kathmandu-Pokhara-Kathmandu by tourist bus.

The reason is simple, we do love to share what we have. We are strongly guided by the principal, “Love Your Neighbor as Yourself.” So we do.
Travel Max Guide supports a certain income to FAN. It’s a team working for the children of Nepal. Support for the child sponsorship program. It’s just a small contribution to our children who are longing for love and support. If our small contribution can make things different, why not? to be a contributor. We are looking to build our communities bigger where everyone can get an opportunity. So let’s share what we can, let’s do what we suppose to do. Listen from your heart. Ok fine, finally it’s time for action.

info@travelmaxguide.comWelcome to Kathmandu, the city of temples, you can call it the most developed city of Nepal as of now, and it is here, where we are located to serve you in a way you want right from TRIBHUWAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, where you can see us waiting for you with our TRAVEL MAX GUIDE SIGN BOARD, and your name so that you can spot us at once, and you will be taken to your hotel in a vehicle or to our office where you can ask us questions, having tea or coffee, after all these activities, if you have a time, then there is nothing better than spending your time in Thamel, the tourist hub which is just outside the door of our office, you ask us, what you want to eat, what you want to enjoy, we will show you that the tourist like you most desired in a new place.
TMG representative will come to pick you. After this, you will head to the tourist bus station. On the way, you will pass through towns, villages, and beautiful landscapes. There are also terraced farmland and rivers. After some pretty long hours, you will reach the City of Lake “Pokhara.” Pokhara is the second best tourist destination after Kathmandu. It is also the city that offers a lot of tourism activities like paragliding, zip flyer, and bungy jumping. Its famous tourist spots are Davis falls, World peace pagoda, Bindhyabasini Temple, and so on. You will check in to the hotel. In the evening, you can walk around Phewa Lake.
From Pokhara, you head to Phedi by bus. Phedi is the starting point of your trek. From there, the trekking trail that is made up of stone steps has its own good sides and later changes its form and takes you to terraced fields, villages, forest, and Dhampus. It also takes you to Deurali for an overnight stay, and you will see the splendid view of the Modi Khola Valley, Annapurna South (7219m), Mardi Himal (5587m), and Macchhapuchhare (6993m). On the way to Duerali, you will reach the Australian Camp from where you will see a panoramic view of the Annapurna Ranges, including Pokhara City.
The trekking trail takes you to a green forest where there are lots of rhododendron trees. Rhododendron is the national flower of Nepal. Seeing them, you follow the trekking trail that takes you to Forest Camp. When you reach there, you still have a few hours to explore the nearby area. The trekking trail is quiet, and you also walk by the trees of oak, maple, and hemlock. Another name of Forest Camp is Kokar.
You follow the trekking trail that goes uphill, that takes you to the forest, and that shows the different facets of biodiversity. From this forest, you head to low camp which is a village, but at the same time, it is also a viewpoint from where you can see the breath-taking view of Fishtail (6993 m). On the way, there are lots of rhododendron trees as well as moss, lichen, and tree ferns.
Following the uphill trekking trail, you head to Mardi Himal (5587 m) and Fishtail (6993 m). As you head to these places, you gradually leave the vegetation area. And this area is also home to the Daphne pheasant (the national bird of Nepal) from where the uphill trekking trail takes you to High Camp. From the trekking trail, you will also see the stunning view of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. Walking on the hill to Mardi Himal through the grass is like having some sort of new experience. Overall, today’s highlight includes the spectacular view of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre.
Today also the trekking trail has the same nature, that is, it goes uphill and downhill, but the only difference is it is very steep and narrow. However, it is not challenging. Walking on this type of trail is having a new kind of experience, and this is how you reach Upper Viewpoint from where you will see the panoramic view of Mardi Himal (5587m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna South (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Baraha Shikhar (Mt. Fang) (7647m), Tent Peak (5695m), Singhachuli (6501m), and Machapuchhre (6993m). On the way, you will see dzos which are a hybrid of yak and cow. You will also see a lot of small huts that belong to the herders.
Low Camp is awesome and so is High Camp. They have their own highlights, after swallowing the highlights, you head back following the same trekking trail through which you have come to High Camp, but the only difference is you follow the descending trekking trail this time which becomes easy. First, you reach Low Camp and from there, you head to Siding, a traditional village, where you will do a homestay.
Today also, you follow the descending trekking trail. You find this trail easy. On the way, you come across villages like Kalimati and Ghalel. After walking for some hours, you reach Lumre, and from there, you drive to Pokhara in a jeep and then fly to Kathmandu. When you reach Kathmandu, we are waiting for you at the airport, from where we will take you to a hotel, or to our office.
Today, you will drive from Pokhara. As you head from the City Of Lakes to the City Of Temples, the scenery changes from lush forest to less vegetation area. Cross the rivers, streams, and pass through the scenic view of hilly landscapes. You will check-in the hotel. In the evening, you will have a farewell dinner in a typical Nepali restaurant, seeing the Nepali dance.
From the haphazard city, as well as from nature’s dramatic set, you fly out from Nepal. The proceedings of your flight begin by picking you up from the hotel. Where you trek was a paradise, and where you head is your nativeland. Prior to 3 hours, we pick you up from the hotel and take you to the airport.
The price below is per person. If you have more than 8 people, then please feel free to ask for a discount. Overall excellent with much personal attention by the Company Owner. Good guide and porter. 3 Passes trek had fewer folks than the standard EBC trek which was what I wanted and it worked out well. Renjo La Pass was the highlight with the best view of Everest.
In my 2 week stay, John was very professional and took me around to experience all that Kathmandu and surrounding areas has to offer. Sites were seen and many locals were met through John’s network. He is a kind man who will take care of any issue no matter how big or small. I highly recommend his company for any travel needs you may have.
I was in Nepal for the Everest Base Camp Trek. Outstanding sceneries and good hospitality. On the way to the base camp, I got an opportunity to visit Bthe uddhist monastery as well as got some information about Buddhism. That was great. Our guide and porter were awesome. Very kind and helpful. Thank you, TMG.
Trekking with Travel Max Guide was an amazing experience. My selection of a trip and the company were excellent and of a right decision. In each moment of my walk, I came across adventure and discovered something new. I remember my first step on the Everest Base Camp. The view was spectacular. Passing through the Sherpa communities and staying in Namche Bazaar is unforgettable. I miss the trip very much. Anyway, thank you so much for your service while I was in Nepal. See you next time for the Annapurna Circuit Trek.
Originally from the United State of America from the city of Los Angeles where life is busy and rush. I made a trip with TMG. It’s a new experience than I excepted. I found Nepalese people really welcoming. They really love tourists. While trekking in the Everest region, I got time to spend with nature, gained plenty of ideas of culture and tradition from the Himalayas. The trip was totally mind-blowing. TMG has a good team spirit and is dedicated to serving guest and trekkers.
What we have said, we will provide you all. Please tell us if you need extra. We do not want you only to become happy, but also from happier to the happiest throughout your trip. Having said this, we cannot control the bad weather as well as the other thing, like bandh made by political parties. This thing will lead to a change in your itinerary, but our sole purpose will be to follow it and to take you from one place to another safely. As regards this, we would like to tell you now that you should bring some extra cash for the above situation or for extra days, which are not included in the itinerary, however, the above situation is just like once in a blue moon because Nepal is 99% politically stable country.
Education is one of the basic needs of the children, and we help these children by donating money which you have paid to us for your trip. Travel Max Guide will also supply clothes and books to these children which will make a big difference. You can also sponsor one of these children or contact our local charity, for more information, you can check the website http://fanepal.org Additionally, let us come together to work on the global cause. We are contributors to a better life and the world. Being engaged in a social response and communities’ development, those who are passionate to do something different by spreading awareness, utilizing the local resources, local ownership and governance concept develop. Can come in one umbrella, cast the vision and work in one milestone. FAN believes that together we can do which will carry out a new horizon in a significant way.
First Act Nepal (FAN) is a team who is working for the welfare of the children. Its objective is to empower underprivileged children. What we do is crystal clear, and the impacts can be seen on the health of children, on the education of children, and on the ways and means that will shape the future of these children. Through us, you can make a donation and participate in the child sponsorship program to support children who are vulnerable and who have lost their parents. Sharing is caring. With this view, we also support the people displaced by the disaster.
