Entry protocol for trekking and documents you need to submit for this trip

• Full-vaccinated travelers do not have to quarantine upon arrival. Unvaccinated/ not fully vaccinated travelers must obtain a Visa prior to departure and must quarantine for 10 days. Rapid Antigen Test at air and land entry points.

Visa On Arrival (Yes, granted at land or air entry points)

No quarantine

Not Vaccinated or not fully vaccinated?

• Get a recommendation from your travel/trekking/tour agent in Nepal.
• Apply for a Visa from the Nepal Embassy or Consulate in your country or nearest.
• You must get Visa prior to departure
• 10 days hotel quarantine (Covid-19 test result on Day 11)

Essential Documents

• Vaccination Certificate
• Hotel Booking
• Mountaineering/Trekking/other permits (if applicable)
• If not fully vaccinated: Recommendation letter from travel/trekking/tour agency in Nepal
• 72 hrs -ve Covid-19 report
• CCMC form (travelers need to fill up this form)

Important: You should be fully vaccinated at least 14 days before you travel. 

Before you fly:

• -ve Covid-19 test report (ideally with a photo) 72 hours or less before the first flight
• Vaccination certificate in English
• Hotel Booking (Fully vaccinated: As per itinerary/ Not fully vaccinated: 10 days quarantine + as per itinerary)
• CCMC Online form (www.ccmc.gov.np – and keep confirmation with barcode handy)
• *RT_PCR/Gene Expert/ True NAAT/Tests validated by WHO

Airlines could check before you board

• Vaccination status
• Negative Covid-19 Test* report
• Hotel booking confirmation (Travel Max Guide will send you hotel booking confirmation before 5 days of your arrival date)
• CCMC from filled confirmation (BarCode)
• If not fully vaccinated: Nepali Travel Agents’ Recommendation Letter and Visa (please let us know whether you are fully vaccinated or not. If you are not fully vaccinated, Travel Max Guide needs to work on your Visa recommendation letter.)
